My Carp Fishing Setup — Everything I Trust on the Bank
These are the rods, reels, rigs, and bait I actually use on real sessions. Every item has been tested in the reeds — no hype, no fluff, just what works.
Ronnie rig set up for beginners
The Ronnie Rig is my go-to pop-up rig — super effective, aggressive hook movement, and brilliant for quick bites over clean spots. A highly effective pop-up rig that flips the hook instantly and nails solid hook holds.
Boom section
I use these pre tied booms because there a lot stronger and saves time.
Spinner Hook Sections
Perfect with any boom section and the hook holds are unbeaten.
Balancing Weights
These are absolutely amazing so discreet and are a real hack when using a Ronnie
Pre tied ronnie
If you just want to simplify it more here’s a full Ronnie rig just add the balance weights
My set up
I’ve had many set ups through out the years but this is the one I’ve found that will not just last me for years to come but is always going to perform, everything here has earned its place.
Korda rods
My favourite rods these I have them in 10ft and 12ft
Weather your a beginner or a well experienced angler you will not regret buying these ๐ซก
Daiwa 20 Crosscast
The modern 45mm profile was first realised by many through the legendary Basia. This Crosscast Big Pit now embraces that 45mm pedigree and the line release advantage of Slow Cross Wrap it’s a perfect reel๐๐ป
Wychwood DPF
DPF line features a UV pigment that has the ability to adapt to the natural light source present under-water and becomes far less prominent so carp don’t really see your line ๐
Trakker bivvy
I’ve had many bivvy but this one is my favourite out of all its a little expensive so I’ll link another that I started with but this will last you a long time, so when your ready to upgrade click down below๐๐ป
